The Pursuit of Excellence
Hello everyone,
I'm writing you all asking for your help with a program that I'm doing. With the unemployment rate in South Carolina peaking at 20 percent, many are looking for opportunities and encouragement to face the days ahead. To address the rising and disparate unemployment rates among African American men in particular, the Columbia Urban League is partnering with Seagram's Gin for a job training and mentoring program, The Pursuit of Excellence Institute.
What is needed from YOU!!
I need to identify at least 20 African American Men to go through the interview process for this program ASAP. All applicants must be between the ages of 25-32 with a clean criminal background. I WILL conduct a BACKGROUND CHECK on each applicant, and they will be REQUIRED to be TESTED for drugs. All applicants will also go through a "boardroom-style" interview, and a college degree is preferred. All applicants will be pre-screened by me and staff.
Participants in this program will receive $500, one suit of clothing, a laptop, and a briefcase.
