I am Woman Health Program kicked off with a fitness walk and community health fair on June 23, 2012

This event allowed participants and community members to commemorate the opening of another cycle of the I Am Woman program. The program opened with a walking event and ended with a health fair full of laughter, food,fun and much more!

I Am Woman! Community Health Workers received United Way's of the Midlands Volunteer awards for the service in the community to combat illnesses including obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure.

2nd Annual STEM Expo 2012

The Columbia Urban League hosted its 2nd Annual Youth STEM Expo for middle school students on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 9:00 am at Saluda Shoals. STEM sponsors included Time Warner, AT&T, City of Columbia and Thinkfinity. 2008 Youth Leadership Development Institute Career Academy

For more than 20 years, the Columbia Urban League, Inc. has put hundreds of students to work each summer through its youth employment programs. Since 1999, the Columbia Urban League, Inc. has partnered with the SC Department of Social Services to operate the Youth Leadership Development Institute (YLDI) program which currently serves foster care and disadvantaged youth in Aiken, Florence, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Richland, Sumter, and York counties.
