2008 Scholarship Reception
On Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:30 p.m., the Columbia Urban League held a reception for their 2008 Scholarship winners. The scholarships include the WWDM Brenda Jones Memorial Scholarship, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina-Columbia Urban League Scholarship, and the Bi-Lo Charities 2008 Urban League Scholarship.

2008 Youth Leadership Development Institute Career Academy
For more than 20 years, the Columbia Urban League, Inc. has put hundreds of students to work each summer through its youth employment programs. Since 1999, the Columbia Urban League, Inc. has partnered with the SC Department of Social Services to operate the Youth Leadership Development Institute (YLDI) program which currently serves foster care and disadvantaged youth in Aiken, Florence, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Richland, Sumter, and York counties.
