Digital Connectors

The Columbia Urban League is among a select group of Urban League affiliates chosen to participate with the Digital Connectors initiative. This initiative is designed to prepare underserved communities for leadership roles in computer technology. Through the program, youth ages 14 to 19, gain knowledge that helps them in school, prepares them for employment, and instills in them the pride of knowing they made a difference in their communities.

The program requires a rigorous curriculum, including 60 community service hours.   Students also serve as technology ambassadors, teaching computer skills to groups and individuals throughout the Midlands. Students will be empowered to expand their 21st century technology skills; develop professional and life skills; and explore workplace pathways.

The Digital Connectors curriculum covers Twelve Core Competencies
-Leadership & Diversity
