Fairfield County Teen Leadership Center
In 2007, the Columbia Urban League began working in Fairfield County to increase school attendance, prevent/reduce involvement in the family court system, and provide career development training and summer employment for students in Fairfield County schools.
The Fairfield County Teen Leadership Center provides daily case management for each program participant, including weekly class visitation by the program director, counseling,home visits, career development, and Parents as Partners workshops serving to both empower and inform parents on the issues concerning truancy and its prevention.
Ellery Brown is the project director for the Fairfield County Teen Leadership Center.
