Seagrams Gin Pursuit of Excellence

Seagrams Gin Pursuit of Excellence program is a rigorous, four week training session funded by Seagrams Gin and administered by the Columbia Urban League.  The Pursuit of Excellence Institute is designed to provide job training and mentoring for adult males who are either underemployed or seeking employment while showing great courage in the face of poverty and challenges as they pursue their paths to excellence. 

Participants are expected to complete weekly take-home assignments, attend multiple training sessions such as interview skills, financial empowerment strategies, self-esteem building technical training, and dressing for success.

Candidates are selected following a rigorous application and pre-screening process, including a “boardroom-style” interview with noted figures from Columbia’s world of finance, social service, media and entertainment.
